It’s fantastic for event work, but I don’t recommend it as a catch-all substitute for foam. It doesn’t seem to hold quite enough moisture for day-to-day arrangements that need a longer vase life. But it works great if you just need them to last a day/two days tops. What I like about it most compared to the agrawool is how easy it is to pierce with even the more delicate stems. Much more similar to foam in that way. An excellent solution for any florist wanting to eliminate foam from their event work.
Absolutely amazing everytime we use the pouches! We also hand out the arrangements after events and people love seeing the hydration mechanics! Highly recommend to any florist that wants to be sustainable!
Pricier than traditional foam but a great compostable replacement!
We used the small pouches for wildflower garden centerpieces and they help up well. We did create them the day before the event.
Oshun was easy to use. It has good surface tension and holds flowers well. It is a great environmental alternative to floral foam. I’m considering using it in an arrangement I’ll be putting into an art museum.
