OLMS WaterPod Flower Tubes are made from bagasse, which is the fibrous pulp left over from sugar cane processing. Bagasse is a natural plant fiber that is used as an eco-friendlier substitute for plastic and is a rising star of environment-friendly materials. Bagasse has GHG emissions that are significantly lower than plastic, making it a low-carbon material.
WaterPods will biodegrade and disappear naturally over time (18 - 24 months) - leaving no micro-plastics behind. They are 3 3/4” long, hold 12ml of water, and are also reusable. Easily adjustable for larger/thicker stems with a quick snip at the neck of the tube
OLMS WaterPod Flower Tubes are great for saving short stems, hydration for event floral designs, and even as a stand-alone floral display
FILLING WITH WATER:
There are two ways to fill OLMS WaterPod Flower Tubes with water -
Option 1: Submerge tube in a bowl or bucket of water. Squeeze the tube just under the neck several times until no more bubbles release from the neck.
Option 2: Tilt the tube slightly and hold under a small steady stream of water until it fills.
You can pre-fill OLMS WaterPods with water, then store in a vessel with more water so that they are ready to go when needed.
ADJUSTING FOR THICKER STEMS:
OLMS WaterPod Flower Tubes can hold thicker stems by snipping the neck to the desired width. Since the tube widens out, cutting it at the top will allow for larger stems (dahlias, Cymbidium orchids) in the tube. You can pre-cut tubes to different sizes so that they are ready to go when needed.
